She suffered throughout what she described as a difficult and painful pregnancy.
But in the few days before she was rushed to hospital with suspected preeclampsia, there was a sanguine beauty about Kim Kardashian as she relaxed in Los Angeles sunshine.
The 32-year-old looked beautiful as she showed off her expectant form in a pretty bikini while relaxing by a pool with friends.

She gained a substantial amount of weight during her pregnancy and Kardashian is apparently already trying to shift those pounds.
Meanwhile it's been revealed that the baby's name does NOT start with a 'k': 'They're not quite ready to announce the name yet,; a source close to the couple tells Us Weekly.
'But the name definitely does not start with a K, despite all the rumors that have been out.'

The reality star is reported to have just left hospital following the birth of her daughter in the early hours of Saturday morning according to Hollywood Life.
And according to reports she can’t wait to get back in the gym and regain her slim figure.
‘She’s already looking ahead to when she can exercise again,’ a source told Us Weekly.
Another added: ‘She really wants to get back into shape. It’s important to her.’

While she is not able to start exercising just yet, Kim is allegedly already watching what she eats.

After racing around for the past few days running errands on behalf of the reality star he was seen picking up a bouquet of pink and white roses to take to the new mother.
Cheban stopped off at the Empty Vase in West Hollywood, California to get the flowers and then delivered them to Kim at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

There was some good-natured tomfoolery from Prince Harry, who made his sister-in-law laugh with a tickling gesture. And there was even a mildly recalcitrant child, Prince Edward’s five-year-old son James, Viscount Severn, who couldn’t resist making faces.

No sooner had she dispensed her final wave, though, than Her Majesty was off to visit her husband in hospital.
But if the day belonged to the 87-year-old Monarch, all eyes were on the eight-months-pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, making her last public appearance before the birth of her first child.
Before the balcony appearance, Kate watched proudly as her husband took part in the traditional Trooping the Colour on horseback as Colonel of the Irish Guards.

It is thought to be only the third time that Philip has missed the event after not attending in 1962 and 1968 when he was away on royal tours.
She first took the royal salute in 1951 - when she deputised for her sick father, George VI - and has continued receiving the mark of respect every year except 1955 when there was a national rail strike.

More than 1,000 soldiers, horses and musicians are taking part in the parade known as 'Trooping the Color,' an annual ceremony marking the queen's official birthday.
The ceremony is also an important social occasion for the Guardsmen taking part and gives their wives, girlfriends, and relatives the chance to celebrate the achievements of the young men and enjoy the spectacle.
Many of the spectators in the stands overlooking the parade ground were dressed in morning suits or smart suits, while women wore dresses topped with hats and fascinators.
After the parade ended, the Queen was cheered by crowds gathered along the Mall as she was driven back to Buckingham Palace, where she watched an aerial display by the RAF.

Kim Kardashian gave birth to her first child on Saturday - a month ahead of her due date.
Mail Online exclusively revealed that the 32-year-old had been admitted to hospital in Beverly Hills on Friday.
The reality star had taken out a birthing suite at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center - a hospital of choice among many celebrities including Britney Spears, Victoria Beckham and Jessica Simpson.
Hours later - around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday - she gave birth to her baby girl.

Her partner, rapper Kanye West, and mother Kris Jenner were reportedly at her side.
Her due date was reportedly July 11 - the same day as Kate Middleton.
Kim had planned to have a C-section but after suffering an infection had decided to take the precaution of going to the hospital a few weeks early, according to X17Online.
Both mother and baby are in good health and resting, but given the early birthday, the littlest Kardashian has been placed in an incubator.

The 36-year-old rapper, who celebrated his birthday on June 8, was last spotted at the Yeezus listening party in Switzerland Tuesday.

With only five weeks to go until her due date, it's time to ensure her home is ready for the new arrival.
The Duchess of Cambridge has been pictured shopping with a woman thought to be a lady-in-waiting for soft furnishings at the high-end interiors specialist Bernard Thorp in Chelsea, south-west London.
The visit last Tuesday saw 31-year-old Kate spend 45 minutes inside the shop to decorate the new nursery at Kensington Palace in central London, less than six weeks before her due date of July 13.

Just hours earlier she had been with her husband Prince William, 30, and around 2,000 other guests at Westminster Abbey for a grand service to mark the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation.
There she wore a delicate daisy lace dress with silver-grey ribbon detail and a soft peach shantung jacket with nude heels, before changing into a navy blue dress and magenta cardigan for her shop.

The front of the store was decked out in light blue, but there was no indication that she bought the colour. It was in fact reported that Kate picked out beige and brown English handmade fabrics inside.
‘Kate was fascinated by all the designs and picked out two,’ a source told the Daily Star Sunday. ‘She had very definite ideas about what she liked. It was boiling hot outside so the door was open.

Her scanty attire did little cover that hourglass form, exposing plenty of cleavage, stomach and legs.
Adding a fashionable flair were Holly's turquoise-blue and pink trainers.

She ran alone but had a handy iPod plugged into her ear to keep her entertained and motivated.

Holly eventually slowed down to extend those muscles in a few relaxing stretches.

The 32-year-old reality star stepped out in one of her most maternity orientated looks yet on Tuesday.
The mother-to-be wore a billowing white mini dress, which allowed plenty of room for the heavily pregnant star to feel comfortable.

The ensemble resembled that of a Mumu, but in the shorter and more chic variety.
The Keeping Up With The Kadashians star teamed the roomy item with a black blazer and a pair of sensible black studded sandals.
Kim wore her raven locks out in a wavy style and accessorised with a black leather Hermes Birkin bag and a pretty crystal necklace.

The TV star's outing comes after she received a visit from fitness trainer to the stars, Tracy Anderson, earlier in the day, who arrived with her own young baby and squeezed into tiny, tiny jeans.
This would either be a galling or encouraging sight to Kim, given the changes her figure has undergone since she became pregnant last year.
