Modern day Marilyn Monroe: Helen Flanagan wears low cut dress that wouldn't look out of place on her pin-up idol as she celebrates winning FHM's sexiest woman in the UK

Best of British: Helen Flanagan looked tanned and confident as she celebrated her FHM sexiest woman award

We often look up to people with similar traits as ourselves, which must explain why Helen Flanagan is such a big fan of Marilyn Monroe.
Not only does the 22-year old have a tattoo of the tragic 1950s pin-up's face on her forearm, but she also likes to dress a bit like her, too.
She celebrated taking Tulisa Contostavlos' crown of FHM's sexiest woman in the UK by changing in to a dress that looked like Monroe's iconic costume from the Seven Year Itch.

Delighted: Helen swooshed her clip in ponytail as she arrived at Whisky Mist ready to celebrate her new title

Earlier that night, Helen had opted for a black dress with tassels, but changed in to the mint green frock as she headed to Whisky Mist to toast her win.
Helen is a huge fan of the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes star, and has previously emulated the blonde bombshell in sultry photoshoots.
There are many parallels to be drawn between the ex-Coronation Street star and the tragic 1950s pin-up, not least of all their platinum blonde hair and generous curves.

So beautiful: Helen is the UK's sexiest woman, as no one can deny seeing her in this stunning dress

It could be argued that now both Helen and Marilyn are in their own way, cultural icons of their time.
Both blonde and buxom, and both graceful and gentle, perfect embodiments of femininity and charm.
Just like Marilyn, Helen wears glasses and also has a penchant for being romanced by sportsmen.
Helen is currently seeing Manchester City footballer Scott Sinclair, and Marilyn wed baseball star Joe DiMaggio.
