She is well known for writing catchy pop songs about failed relationships, which have often been played out very publically.
But while Taylor Swift may not have the best track record with men, she’s certainly not lacking in female friendships.
The singer was spotted putting on a very leggy display as she spent Memorial Day in Rhode Island with fellow young stars – actress’s Hailee Steinfeld and Jessica Szohr.
Making the most of the warm weather on the national holiday in America the 23-year-old did what every other person in the country did – she spent the day off with those close to her.
Showing off her slim legs she wore a pair of tiny black shorts and in her usual preppy style she teamed them with a white shirt and reddy maroon jumper as she strolled around the New England state where she owns a home.
The 23-year-old completed her trademark all-American girl look by wearing her hair off her face in a high ponytail, while her fringe looked blunter than usual across her face.
Shading her eyes from the sun she wore black cat-eye shape glasses and opting for comfort the leggy songstress wore a pair of flat loafers.
It seems tones of red was the theme of the girls day out as both Hailee and Jessica also wore the colour.
Gossip Girl star Jessica opted for skintight red jeans with a white shirt, while her shoulder length hair had been styled in a neat bob.
Hailee, 16, opted for a similar preppy look to Taylor wearing a pair of black and white stripe shorts with a white shirt and red jumper.
She completed her look with a pair of red ballet flats and a pair of dark shades.
The trio were also reportedly joined by Taylor’s new friend – Girls star Lena Dunham - for a spot of lunch.
It’s believed that Lena’s boyfriend from FUN Jack Antonoff was also there as was Ed Sheeran who is currently touring with Taylor around the States.
Lena and Taylor have grown very close recently after Lena revealed she was a big fan of the Trouble singer.
In January Lena said: ‘I sent her a message. I was like, 'I just want to let you know that your albums have gotten me through a lot of very hard times.'’
